Anne, Princess Royal
Anne Elizabeth Alice Louise was born on 15 August 1950. She is the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip.She is the sister of King Charles III.Her other siblings are Prince Andrew Duke of York and Prince Edward Duke of Edinburgh.She married her first husband Mark Phillips on November 14, 1973, at Westminster Abbey.Together they have two children:Peter and Zara Phillips.Anne choose to not have titles bestowed on her children. Anne is an accomplished equestrian and in 1976 she became the first British royal to compete in the Olympic Games. She wed her second husband, Commander Timothy Lawrence in 1992.Anne currently ranks as 16th in line to the British throne and her mother bestowed the title ‘Princess Royal’ on her in 1987, This is a traditional title given to the oldest daughter of a reigning monarch.
The Princess has been known as the hardest working royal and is the Patron of over 200 charities, most notably the Save the Children Fund. In 2023, she undertook 457 engagements.
